So I am going to have to realize that Brad will lose quicker than I will even if he isn't eating as well as I am.
It has to be a man woman thing. He says he is just more active during the day. I am down one pound when we weighed in this morning and he is down 2. Just have to keep on keepin on.
Had a good walk this morning I felt my abdominal muscles playing a part so it was good. Just need to keep on track.
I think I may do the measuring also to help keep me motivated. Thanks Kir.
Keep pushing thru! You'll get it done. I hate comparing myself to my husband so I've stopped. My metobolism is different and I need different things to keep me modivated. So I stopped trying to do this for the both of us and just focusing on me. In the long run I hope it pays off for us both.
ReplyDeleteKeep on truckin sweetie, there will be a point I will crash and stop losin' and you will keep on losin' Mwah
ReplyDeleteI have come to realize the same thing with Scott. He just had to give up sugar and he is down while I have to give up sugar, other foods, and add extra excercise. The guys may win the first mont or two of the comp but us ladies will own the whole thing!!! ( Had to add some trash talk, LOL)
ReplyDeleteThanks just needed to vent. I realize it will get better. Thank you sweetie. Mwah
ReplyDeleteIt's TRUE!! Testosterone helps men lose weight faster! The coed thing is even the reason why this comp is so much smaller than the previous ones I've ran. But.. the advantage men have with testoterone is made up with our DETERMINATION!! I'm thrilled to have you both in the comp! Can't wait to see you succeed!
ReplyDeleteKeeping track of your inches will help to not only keep you motivated, but also to keep things in perspective. If you add a pound of muscle, but lose 2 pounds of fat, the loss you post on the scale doesn't tell you the whole story because you've gotten smaller. Muscle takes up about 1/3 the space of fat because it is so much denser. You can swap out pounds of muscle for fat and not lose any weight according to the scale, but drop a dress size or two. Now THAT'S something to smile about. Keep up the good work, Julie!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
ReplyDeleteI think Brad and I will measure tonight!
